Monya Williams

Monya Williams is a native of Jacksonville, Florida where she is featured in the second edition of UBAWA Magazine expressing her love and passion for the art of poetry. You can also find her works published in poetry.com anthologies which she has been a part of throughout the years. She has been published in The Best Poems and Poets Of 2002, The Best Poems and Poets Of 2004, The International Who's Who In Poetry, Timeless Voices, Mythology Of The Heart, The Layers Of Our Souls, aside from publishing her own works entitled “Poetically Speaking, Crying Hearts, Love, Lust or Lies and has been published in various publications domestic and foreign alike. As an author, poet, motivational speaker and woman of faith, Monya tries to bring healing, peace, encouragement and inspirations to those who lives she may reach. Living by her personal philosophy: “As long as I’m alive I can achieve anything.” She continues to strive and overcome every obstacle that she may have to face with the intuitiveness of her own words. The words that you read are real no smoke nothing you read will be false when it comes to life. She often tries to be the voice of my people, often there are times where we want to say things but just don’t quite know how to say it. Monya will be that unspoken voice of many and will prove to be heartfelt time after time. Spirited, tough, determined and strong giving all she has to offer in every piece she writes. Monya is an emerging author with an uncultivated talent and gift that she is freely sharing with the world. Monya is raw, uncut and unfiltered she believes in speaking from the heart truth and life. There are no fifty shades with her word it is black and white bold in all caps. She has never been the type of writer that is deemed cookie cutter but she thinks outside the box giving the people something to talk and think about. Opinionated and outspoken never from a place of malice but from a place of love when others are in fear of saying what needed to be said or expressed. Her gift of storytelling and poetry are a match made in poetic matrimony. Her belief in human equality and the right of man are deeply rooted in her writings. A seeker of peace, knowledge and love none of approval. She believes that if she can reach one person and makes a difference in their lives then she reach her level of success.
