Ken Webb has been around storytellers all his life, having grown up a preacher's son in South Carolina and with a grandfather whose style and tales of early and mid-20th Century Southern life stick with him to this day. The importance of stories and listening continued as he earned a degree in Journalism and became an award-winning reporter and editor for weekly newspapers, then a staff writer and Piedmont Bureau Chief for The State newspaper in Columbia, SC. In a career shift, Webb worked in sales and management and, now, consulting, but continues writing and collecting stories, and has drawn on these experiences in crafting "Mr. Carter's Sword".
