Susanna Cafaro

Susanna Cafaro is a full professor of European law at Universitą del Salento (Lecce, Italy), where she holds a Jean Monnet Chair on "European Supranational Democracy: a Lab for the World." She has also been the organiser of the Supranational Democracy Dialogue since 2018. In this annual event, academicians, activists, NGOs' leaders and international officials meet to discuss democratic ways to face global issues and manage global public goods.

She writes about European and international law topics with a special interest in current affairs at the crossroads of law, economics and politics. She is a fervent supporter of multilateralism and democratic global governance, whose formula has yet to be invented (and she is committed to contributing).
