Douglas Bell studied theoretical physics before spending a number of years as an academic in software engineering.

He has written books on programming (in Java, Visual Basic and C#) and on software engineering.

He is now writing about philosophy.

He hopes to bring a fresh view and one based on a scientific background.

He has no understanding of food, opera, folk music or ballet.

He likes walking, cycling, reading and is a gym rat.

He lives in Sheffield, England.
