Abby Andresen

Before branching into psychological horror and fantasy, Abby published her satiric romantic comedy "An Inappropriate Crush" in 2017. This novel, describing a baby boomer's struggle in a millennial workplace, has been described by reviewers as steamy, refreshing, witty, poignant and, consequently, a great read. Since then, Abby's stories have appeared in several anthologies, most recently in Costs of Living by Whisper House Press and in Unseen Agreements by Beaches and Trails Publishing.

Abby has also been a Minneapolis-based stand-up comedian and freelance writer. Her articles and essays have appeared in several publications, including Mpls. St. Paul Magazine, City Pages and The Minnesota Women's Press.

She has a B.A in journalism from the University of Minnesota and an M.F.A. in creative writing from American University.

A proud member of the Horror Writers Association, Abby lives in Minneapolis with her spirit cat.
