Brenda Loew was born and brought up in Massachusetts, earned degrees in English Language and Literature from Boston University, Linguistic Science from Brown University and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Northeastern University. A former tenured public school speech therapist, she has two children and four grandchildren.
