Cheryl Abney

Cheryl Abney is a retired educator with over 30 years' experience as a teacher and counselor at all levels--college, high school, middle, and elementary. She is a current member of American Christian Fiction Writers, Florida Writers' Association, Gulf Coast Writers' Association, and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Cheryl loves to create historical fiction stories and has written two middle-grade readers set in the Florida Lake Okeechobee area, circa 1918--Belle of the Glades, and its sequel, My Bigfoot. She lives in the Florida Glades area of her story's setting with her husband, two Jack Russell terriers (Zoey & Ditto), and her tortoise (Theo).
