Gerald R. Wright

Gerald R Wright was born in a small Bedfordshire village and was educated at the (then) Cedars Grammar School in Leighton Buzzard.

He served with the Royal Military Police in Cyprus during 'The Emergency' and spent some time on attachment to the Special Investigation Branch.

After some time in the Civil Police, a career change saw him in Local Government, working within the Finance Section of two UK Local Authorities.

In 1978, as a mature student, he obtained a degree in Education and taught Geography and Business Studies at a large Comprehensive School in Dorset until he retired.

He now lives on Spain's Costa Blanca with his wife.

He has had a number of short stories published (westerns in Frontier Tales), but mainly in anthologies published by WordPlay Publishing Ltd,one of which gained first prize in the UK Writing Magazine's Anthology of the Year Award, 2012.

During the writing and publication process of 'Farrel's Last Case, he has been working to complete a fantasy novel entitled 'Witches' Mountain', a tale of strange goings on somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains, due out end of 2013.

His favourite genres are Crime, History and Fantasy.
