Marilyn J. Monteiro

Dr. Monteiro is a psychologist with over four decades of clinical experience revealing and supporting autistic lived experiences across the life span. She is the author of three books and the MIGDAS-2 diagnostic interview system. Dr. Monteiro currently provides international training for clinicians in the areas of incorporating the use of the MIGDAS-2 neuro-affirming diagnostic interview system into comprehensive autism assessments, creating individualized narrative reports that emphasize describing the individual's autistic brain style patterns of strengths and differences, and teaching family therapy techniques to support autistic individuals across age and ability levels. She is currently working on her book for families.
