They share the author’s 52 years as a parent, Montessori age 2-18 teacher, university and Montessori training course lecturer and examiner, speaker, and school and government consultant—all based on her excellent AMI teacher training. The books are rich in stories of experience of travel in 70+ countries and Montessori work in 30. Her colleagues include many Montessori teacher, and teacher trainers, Howard Gardner at Harvard University, and Adele Diamond at the University of British Colombia. She has worked with the best Montessori schools in large cities of the world, gifted homeschooling children, teachers of the blind, refugees in India and orphanages in Morocco and Colombia, and parents in poor villages in several countries. She has visited Reggio Emilia in Italy, Suzuki music in Matsumoto, Japan, and Waldorf schools, and has degrees in philosophy, world religions, and education. Susan is a musician and artist, her paintings found on the covers of her books.
