D. S. Thornton is a former graphic designer and magazine art director. She makes her home in Southern California, where she writes and illustrates middle-grade fantasy and silly sci-fi for young adults and up. She is also an accomplished watercolorist. She loves botanical gardens, Turner Classic Movies, Doctor Who, and puppies.
