Beth Anne Niemela is a Detroit native, though she has lived in various Michigan locations, including Hancock in the Upper Peninsula. She currently lives in Dearborn with the youngest of her three children, Keira, her dog, Pippi, and her charismatic guinea pig, Mrs. Nesbit.
Beth has been writing poetry since she was a child, but turned to fiction in 2011. Her first novel, Overheard in Suki’s Diner was published in 2014. She is working on two more novels which she hopes to complete in the next year or two.
She loves her home state, and spends as much time as possible in the woods of Northern Michigan and on the beaches of the Great Lakes. Her other loves include genealogy, gardening, travel, movie trivia, and Motown music. Naturally, she loves reading. Her favorite contemporary authors are Jojo Moyes, Dennis Lehane, and Liane Moriarty.
