Jaimie Baron

Jaimie Baron is a Professor of Film and Media Studies at the University of Alberta. Her research interests include documentary film and media, experimental film and media, found footage and audiovisual appropriation, and the history of how media technologies have reshaped human experience. She is also the director of the Festival of (In)appropriation, a festival of short experimental found footage films, and co-editor of Docalogue, an online space for discussion of contemporary documentary, and the Docalogue book series.
