Gloria Barnett, widely known as The Weird Fish Lady, is a UK‑based author, ocean expert, speaker, and underwater videographer dedicated to inspiring curiosity and care for the marine world.

A qualified and experienced scuba diver, Gloria has spent many years exploring oceans around the world, filming coral reefs, marine life, and underwater habitats. As an underwater videographer and filmmaker, she captures the beauty, complexity, and fragility of ocean ecosystems, using real footage to bring the underwater world to life for audiences of all ages.

Gloria is a highly engaging speaker and ocean education expert, delivering talks, workshops, and school visits across the UK and internationally. Her presentations combine stunning underwater video, real scientific knowledge, and powerful storytelling to help children and adults understand why oceans matter—and how human actions impact marine life.

Alongside her speaking work, Gloria is the author of 10 ocean‑themed books, spanning fiction and non‑fiction for children aged 3 to teens, all designed to build environmental awareness and empathy for wildlife.
