Bromme Hampton Cole, author and nonprofit executive, was born in New Orleans, but having lived on the island of Manhattan for many years, he is much more a peripatetic New Yorker than a son of the Big Easy. He has also lived a good portion of his life abroad in such countries as France, Taiwan, Colombia and now lives in China; he is fluent in French, Spanish and Mandarin. An incurable adventurer, he is part of the proud Dutch diaspora which bestowed on America much of our belief in individual freedom. Professionally, he has been involved in the business of healthcare for most of his career, from banking to investment and now is the CEO of a nonprofit that provides early intervention for kids born hard of hearing. He is passionate about his advocacy for vulnerable people or those exposed to existential peril.
He has published a number of books on Amazon and is editing his fourth, a full length work of literary fiction titled "When Soft Voices Die..." WSVD recently won the 2023 IML Publications fiction award.
