I've been into sport my whole life, enjoying both team sports and individual sports. One thing I have noticed is that having physical strength will help in many activities, especially sport.
My weight training has been a long road of trial and error, along the way finding out what works and want doesn't.
I think my book has an unusual name. Must Be On Roids, doesn't really sound like it would be the hard core bodybuilding book that it is. My results in bodybuilding made people think that I could only have achieved my results if I was using steroids.
Over the years one of the gyms I trained at had two different owners. Both asked the question; am I on roids ?
Knowing I have never taken any performance enhancing drugs I take this as huge compliment.
One thing I can say about steroids though. I've spotted for guys in the gym who are on steroids, and their power does not match their massive bulking muscles. My views on spotting is in a whole chapter in my book. In short, I don't spot EVER.
