Alex C. Parrish is a Professor of Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication at James Madison University. He teaches the history and practice of writing about nature, food, and the environment. Also a cross-species welfare activist, he is involved with several international organizations that work to enhance the lives of animals.
