Philip Dickinson

My father worked for a multinational corporation and was posted overseas for his job which meant that I was born in Thailand in 1966. When I was four years old, my parents moved to Switzerland and then when I was seven, they were posted to the Philippines. To provide a more balanced education, I was sent to boarding school in England where I excelled at precisely nothing. Undaunted, I eventually graduated with a degree in Electronic Systems Engineering and took up a career in IT, something which has in no way prepared me to be an author.

I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful children who dutifully pretend that I'm an author who's tinkering at IT rather than the reverse! I love reading, windsurfing, running, walks in the country, travel and meeting new people.

My first novel, a historical fiction called 'New Fire' was published in 2013. It tells the story of two young Aztec warriors caught up in vicious politics and savage warfare. The sequel, 'Dark Water' was published in April 2015. Book three is in the making and will wrap up the 'Aztec Elements' series. It currently holds the working title of 'Old Blood'.
