Like my father, James Moriarty, M.D., I like to read bios (life) graphos (writing).

I am a native Washingtonian (D.C.)who was educated by the Jesuits @ Gonzaga College High School. My formal education includes an A.B. in Psychology from Holy (?)Cross College (the women @ Marymount College introduced me to the Holy (?) while playing rugby on their athletic field.

My Masters in Psychology is from the Big Ten = I am a Spartan from Michigan State. Summer school included Georgetown University and Harvard where I studied Social Relations. So did Mark, the Facebook guy, but he added more advanced Computer Science than was available in the 1960s.

I wrote for SCIENCE NEWS, the Behavioral Science Writer, and was a Staff Writer for THE MONITOR @ The American Psychological Assn.

As a science writer @ the sunset of his career, I like to write from what Freud called the "preconsciousness." I combine fiction and reality to write what I call "semi fiction." The stories are serious, but the humor will seduce you. I am one of the current great grandsons of Professor Moriarty, the mathematician. Sherlock Holmes would fiddle with cocaine, get paranoid, and think my great grandfather was out to get him. M
