Madukar Orji was born in the city of Enugu, Nigeria to Nigerian parents. He grew up and had his university education in Nigeria. Later in adulthood he migrated to United States to become a U.S. citizen. Madukar has written various political articles, publications and books. As Nigerian-American in diaspora he devotes his writing to changing mindset and behavior of Nigerian corrupt politicians, in a country where politics and governance thrive in lust for corruption and false political promise. As a result, hope of delivery dividends of democracy to the mass citizens has become elusive. His latest book, Lust for Corruption: The Africa You Don't Know, portrays political corruption, which continually impedes socioeconomic development in Nigeria, and Africa at large.
