Simon Ridgwell is a travel writer, photographer and co-founder of Best of England Travel Guides.

Best of England are a small, independent publisher aiming to make travel guides which are as beautiful as they are useful. Our books are free of advertising and printed in England using paper from sustainable sources (that's why they are a little more expensive).

We strive to champion the other small businesses who are as passionate about what they are doing as we are. We think the best way to do this is to use our photography and that’s why we personally visit each place we recommend ourselves and take all our own photos.
