Sarah Landry was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Her favourite activities as a kid were drawing, painting, and making gemstone jewelry. In her teenage years, she developed a passion for animal rights, and became a vegan and an activist. At 20, she moved to Vancouver to study Fine Art at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. After two years of art school, she felt a deep spiritual calling, and left Emily Carr to pursue the study of meditation, yoga and consciousness. This led her into the cult of Nithyananda. The pen name on many of her books is Ma Nithya Sudevi, because, regrettably, they were first published at the time when she was in that cult. Sarah has since started a new series of YouTube videos exposing the crimes committed by the fraud guru she once praised, and hopes to eventually publish the story of how she fell into the cult trap, became a brainwashed spokesperson for the organization, then finally woke up from the abuse and deprogrammed.
