BLAKE C. AARENS

Blake C. Aarens is an author, playwright, poet, screenwriter, and former college theatre instructor. Blake has more than two decades of teaching classes on everything from Acting to Dramatic Technique for Fiction Writers. She is the fifth of ten children.

Blake is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse who writes award-winning erotic fiction. Her work has appeared in Penthouse Magazine, the Herotica series, Best Lesbian Erotica, Aché: A Journal for Lesbians of African Descent, and numerous other anthologies.

Her erotic collection: Wetting the Appetite is available from Renaissance Books, under their Barbary Coast Imprint. Her e-book: Teaching Her Manners debuted at #22 on the fictionwise BDSM bestseller list.

Blake has just completed the first book in her Paranormal Erotic Romance Series entitled: This Vampire's Heart.

Blake is already at work on her next project, a work of Black Literary Fiction called, The Prince of Whiteness, a modern day retelling of the Rumplestiltskin story. In the Grimm tale, a young woman is set an impossible task to satisfy the boasting of her father. In this modern and diverse new version, Blake deals with issues of color and race and the phenomenon of passing. What if the wool that's spun into gold is the hair of a lil' Black girl who is light enough to pass?
