Rick Lauber

How do you lose a parent twice? Author Rick Lauber experienced this when caregiving for his father. With advanced Alzheimer's disease, Lauber's father first forgot his own family and then passed away. Lauber learned a great deal about eldercare and has since shared his experience with and advice for prospective, new and current caregivers in his two published caregiving guidebooks, Caregiver's Guide for Canadians and The Successful Caregiver's Guide. Lauber continues to write extensively on senior's and caregiving issues and has collected publication credits including Chicken Soup for the Soul: It's Christmas; Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Very Good, Very Bad Cat; Caregiver Solutions Magazine; NextAvenue.org; caregiving.com; thecaregiverspace.org; Alberta Prime Times Newspaper; Costco Connection Magazine; and more.

Lauber has also guested on numerous caregiving blogtalk radio programs (e.g. LifeAfterAlz, Hope for the Caregiver, Fading Memories, and Caregivers Out Loud), presented webinars for Huddol, homecareassistance.com, and March of Dimes Canada, and is a proud member of the AlzAuthors family.
