Dane S. Egli

Dane Egli writes from his experience as a career Coast Guard officer, director on the White House National Security Council staff under George W. Bush, senior advisor to the Combatant Commander at NORAD/US Northern Command, and PhD public policy researcher from University of Colorado-Denver. He currently serves as a homeland and national security advisor at The Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Applied Physics Laboratory while teaching graduate students at JHU's Carey Business School and Whiting School of Engineering. Beyond the Storms draws creatively from case studies, interviews, and literature, distilling the vital themes of preparedness and critical infrastructure resilience to inform a new generation of leaders facing the complexities of the 21st century.
