Joanne Murphy

Joanne Murphy is an academic, consultant and author. Her research explores leadership, change and organisational development in politically volatile environments, including those affected by ethno-political conflict. She has worked extensively with business, government, not for profits and police and security organisations to build leadership capacity, manage change and achieve resilience.

She holds the position of Reader in Leadership and Organisational Change in Queen's University’s Management School. She is currently Academic Director of the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute, a Fellow of the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice and a Senior Fellow of Northern Ireland's policy Think Tank - Pivotal. Her new book - 'Management and War: How Organisations Navigate Conflict and Build Peace', is currently in production with Palgrave Macmillan and will be launched in August 2020.
