Billy J. Stratton's writing on Native American/American literature and culture has been published in numerous journals and books, including TIME, US News & World Report, Salon.com, Wíčazo Ša Review, Transmotion, The Journal of American Culture, Weber: The Contemporary West, Arizona Quarterly, Rhizomes, Common-place, and Denver Quarterly, while having chapters in the recently published editions, Mediating Indianness (Michigan State UP), Native North America in (Trans)Motion (Routledge), and Native American Survivance, Memory, and Futurity (Routledge).
Recent and current projects include, The Fictions Stephen Graham Jones: a Critical Companion (University of New Mexico Press, 2016), as well as a fiction project set in Appalachian coal country--a sample from which can be read in Cream City Review (39:1, 2015).
