Hi readers! This is actually a page for Marcy Ruesch and Jon Ruesch, since we’re both the authors of our travel books. However, Amazon only allows one author per author page, which is why you only see my name listed. But rest assured, we both wrote the books and we both hope you'll enjoy reading them.
We’ve written several international travel books - "Touring Italy on a Gelato a Day: Travel Highlights, Mishaps and Adventures," "The Highs and Lows of Austria, Germany and Switzerland: Travel Adventures in Mountains, Valleys and Towns,” and our most recent book, "From St. Petersburg to Moscow: Cruising Moscow's Waterways."
We’ve also written a book on U.S. travel, “Traveling Through History: Civil War Sites in Natchez and Vicksburg, Mississippi. It describes the experiences we had while combining our loves of history and travel in those locations.
"Planning for Europe: What To Know Before You Go," is an essential book for anyone travelling to Europe for the first time. It answers the questions you may have about European travel and questions you haven't even thought of.
We wrote our books to share our experiences so that you can get some ideas if you're planning a trip to any of those places. In addition to telling you about the sites we saw, we provide tips and suggestions for making your trip even more enjoyable and hassle-free. If you've already been to those locations, the books will bring back memories for you.
If you'd like to always have your trip experiences to look back on and enjoy, take a look at our paperback travel journal called "Ready for Take-Off: Travel Journal." It's a great way to always have your vacation memories.
Now a little bit about Jon and me, so you can get to know us a little better. We live in Chicago. Obviously we love to travel, both nationally and internationally. In addition to travel, we enjoy movies, theater, and bike riding along Chicago's lakefront. Although we only recently returned from our latest trip, we're already thinking about where we want to travel to next. You can't start planning too soon!
