During my 30 years as a business strategy professor, my work has always focused on the ‘big picture’ of the role of business and a market economy in creating a good society.

This research has culminated in 3 books, 2 textbooks and over 60 articles. Some of this is for academic audiences and some for operating executives, but most of what I have written speak to both groups.

The three books you see here represent my evolution as a thinker, scholar, and writer.

Clean helps leaders create, develop, and nurture organizations that are sustainable, in every sense of that word: sustainably profitable, environmentally conscientious, and socially involved.

Strategic Risk Management helps executives deal with an increasingly VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) business environment and how their firms can thrive.

More than Money describes the five types of capital people need to lift themselves out of poverty and how organizations and leaders can help people acquire them.

Also, I co-authored two business textbooks, Strategic Management: Concepts and Cases; and Ethics and Business: An Integrated Approach for Business and Personal Success
