Justin P. DePlato

Justin P. DePlato (1980- ) was born in Lackawanna, New York, which is just south of Buffalo, New York. He grew up in a suburb of Niagara Falls, New York, where he attended public schools. He received his Ph.D in political science from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

He has published several books, including, "American Democracy: Founders, Presidents and Enlightened Philosophers", "American Presidential Power and the War on Terror: Does the Constitution Matter?", and "The Cavalier Presidency: Executive Power and Prerogative in Times of Crisis".

His non-fiction works include "Meet Inspector L. Jack Hawthorne" and The Swooping Crane which are part of a series of short mystery novels that combine the classic "who done it" with exploring ancient mysticism and conspiracy theories.

He currently resides in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, where he is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Robert Morris University.
