Shortly after publishing "Behold the Marshal" in 2007 I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. I stopped writing until medications could be found to limit my problems but eventually, as my PD progressed, typing became impossible.

I write to develop a relationship between the reader and the historical characters while trying to stay faithful to actual facts. I stress why they did what they did rather than describe the landscape. I have spent most of my adult life (teacher) watching how people learn and interact with each other. It is why my stories focus on the people.

I was unhappy to find the original kindle version's editing was error prone. I had to hire professional help to correct these errors since my typing skills have eroded. It is the reason for the price increase. "Behold the Marshal" kindle version has now passed 5000 readers! Thank you. Those of you that found the revised addition of Behold The Marshal enjoyable, the latest reviews seem to indicate that to be the case, will forgive the earlier mistakes.

Update: 2014

On October 22, 2014 I underwent a difficult surgical procedure called deep brain stimulation to easy the tremors from my Parkinson's. Electrodes were inserted in my brain and batteries in my chest. Like a pacemaker helps a heart condition; the DBS system helps tremors. It worked and I am writing again thanks to brilliant doctors! I hope those of you who enjoyed "Behold The Marshal" will take a look at my new book, "Daniel Morgan, Forgotten Hero".
