When she's not writing, reading, or forest bathing, Misty loves traveling with her adventurous, linear hubby and FaceTiming with her two adult children who inherited their father's daring sense of adventure (which can induce bouts of anxiety, but what can you do?) Misty's professional experience includes work in conservation and sustainable forestry, real estate development, biotech, education, IT, the long term care industry, and freelance writing, though being a mom has been the most rewarding experience of all.
