Matthew Jobin holds a PhD in anthropological sciences and is a scientist and author. He draws on his background to bring rich world-building and cultural insight to his stories. His debut fantasy series, The Nethergrim, was a finalist for the 2015 Monica Hughes Science Fiction and Fantasy Award and was named a Best Book for Teens by the New York Public Library. His latest novel is an atmospheric post-collapse tale exploring the rise and fall of human civilizations.
