Kristin Marciniak had no use for social studies class growing up in Bettendorf, Iowa. Why learn about history when it's just going to repeat itself anyway?

Kristin was totally wrong. It turns out that researching and writing about the people, places, and events that shape the United States is a lot more fun than watching film strips and reading stuffy old text books. Now she's writing the books she wishes she'd read in school.

Kristin lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with her husband, young son, and golden retriever. She likes to knit socks, stitch quilts, bake bread, and read a good story.
