Louise Goldberg

Louise Goldberg is the founder of Creative Relaxation and director of the Yoga Center of Deerfield Beach, FL. A former high school English, she pitched her tent in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec at the Sivananda Yoga Camp in 1979, and her life has been forever changed.

Today, she offers trainings in Creative Relaxation Yoga Therapy for Children with Autism and Special Needs around the world and leads yoga-meditation retreats in Europe and Florida. Louise mentors educators, yoga teachers, counselors, therapists, and parents in the implementation of yoga for self-regulation, social/emotional learning, and improved executive function.

Her book Yoga Therapy for Children with Autism and Special Needs (Norton, 2013) speaks to the needs of exceptional students. Her new book, Classroom Yoga Breaks (Norton, 2017), provides research-based tools for educators of mainstream students, K-12, for inclusion in academic settings.

Louise has taught yoga to children from age 2 through college. She's been a remedial reading specialist and an English teacher at the middle school, high school, and college levels.
