Dr. Susan Liebell loves teaching political science and public law at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. In her articles and books, she combines an interest in democratic citizenship with current issues like environmental degradation, toleration, and – in her recent book – teaching evolution and intelligent design. She has presented her work at Duke University, Columbia University, The University of Chicago, George Washington University, and Rutgers University. Currently, she is researching and writing a new book on how gun laws affect democratic citizenship entitled “Stand Your Ground: Guns, Rights, and Democratic Citizenship.” Susan was born in Queens NY and her PhD is from The University of Chicago.
