Geraldine Comiskey

Formerly a roving reporter for mostly tabloid papers, Geraldine Comiskey spent 30-odd years delving into the quirky and adventurous side of Irish life, investigating strange goings-on in rural Ireland, living out of a suitcase - and wearing wellies with everything.

Some of her most memorable assignments included “dunker training” in a submerged helicopter with the Irish Aer Corps and British Royal Marines, boarding a trawler with the Irish Navy in a Force Nine gale, wingwalking over Galway Bay, and getting set on fire by stuntmen in the Wicklow Mountains.

She has also worked as a serious reporter for the broadsheet press and in a wide range of “real jobs”.

Geraldine's website includes a large selection of her articles for various newspapers and magazines. In 2020 she had to put her roving reporter gig on hold, and set up a website to promote her ghostwriting service (www.GhostwriterConfidential.com). In 2021 she returned to education (to study Psychology and Care of the Older Person part-time). She spent most of 2022 working full-time as a supermarket checkout operator - a job she found both relaxing and fun - and may return to the "till" .at some point.

She s currently working as a full-time writer and runs a book club for people who like both reading and writing. She also writes under the pseudonyms "Aneeta Hall" and "Korg the Crow".
