New York City Artist, Author and Restaurateur Sergio Bitici was born in Albania, since in early age he showed interest in drawing, painting and calligraphy for which he was self taught.
He studied electro engineering in Prishtinė, where he learned technical drawing with pen and ink.
In the United States he attended CCNY, Commercial Art, which he dropped out to pursue restaurant business. He has been studying drawing and painting watercolor at the Art Students League if New York, where he is still attending in regular basis, where he paints waters, live models and landscapes on “plain air” for the last decade under the famous artist and instructor Frederick Wong.
He has attended many watercolor workshops with watercolor master teachers like; Charles Reid, James McFarlane, Timothy Clark, Mel Stabin, Naomi Campbell, James Cannata (drawing)
and Federick Brozen.
He has been showing at Annual shows at the Art Students League of New York, his restaurant, Macelleria, Charles Nolan Boutique, NYC, Ports 1961, Red Hook, and Open Studio. He travels regularly with his painting kit. Besides New York City and Upstate he has also painted in Maryland, Maine, Washington DC, Vermont and Connecticut. Internationally Bitici has painted in Albania, Kosovo, London, Paris, France and Italy.
All profits from sales have been donated to educative institutions and to non-profit organizations.
