Dr. Francis is the author of Remaking Horror, which chronicles the contemporary film industry phenomenon of movie remakes. He is also contributing author and editor to Howdy or Hello?: Technical and Professional Communication and Surface and Subtext: Literature, Research, Writing, open-educational resource textbooks created by the TAMU English 210 OER Committee and TAMU English 203 OER Committee, respectively. Current publications include an article in Fangoria Magazine (vol 2 issue 14) and book chapters within the edited collections, Bloody Women! Women Directors of Horror and The Scientist in Popular Culture.
