James J. Leflar

Dr. Leflar is a recognized subject matter expert and accomplished leader in security technology, organizational resilience, business continuity, risk management, crisis management, and security management. He is a published author, educator, and active member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group, ISO TC 292 for Security and Resilience (Subject Matter Expert: Resilience and Continuity). Furthermore, he has expertise in organizational change, continuous improvement, criminal justice, and management, resulting in high-quality accomplishments. Dr. Leflar earned his doctorate in management with a concentration in organizational development and change.

He has approximately 15 years of accumulated teaching and course development experience involving university students and risk professionals (CM/BC/security) seeking advanced knowledge. Dr. Leflar maintains the professional certifications of Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP). He is also an active member and former Chair of the ASIS International Crisis Management and Business Continuity Council.
