Allen Lyne

Allen Lyne has had as many jobs as hot meals--well, almost!

Factory hand, postal worker, seaman, truck driver, cleaner, actor, playwright, theatre director, university lecturer, author of books. He has worked in theatre, film, television radio and theatre-restaurant. In 1982 Allen won 'Most Creative Use of the Medium' in the Australia-wide FM Radio Awards. In 1986, he won the award for best play in the Australian Arts and Education awards.

Allen is the current owner of Bearly Together Co, a touring comedy theatre-restaurant company.

He is the author of 39 plays, some of them are still produced in various states of Australia and in other countries.

Allen began writing books a couple of decades ago and has so far authored nine--all of them are available on Kindle and most as Amazon paperbacks Amazon and the others will follow.

He was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, joined the Navy at 18 and stayed there until he was 30. He now lives on a clifftop at Moana Heights in South Australia, about 50 kilometres south of Adelaide.
