Pilar Lacasa

I am Pilar Lacasa and I love video games, photography, classic movies and new media. I am a Professor of Communication at Universidad de Alcalá, Spain, and have been a visiting scholar at the University of Utah, the Comparative Media Studies programme (MIT) and the University of Southern California.

My research team has been working with children, families and school from an etnographical perspective for over 15 years, exploring how people use both old and new media in communicative situations. I love to explore how children use digital and emergent technologies.
