I'm a writer and editor. I'm the author of "Home Sweet Zero Energy Home" (New Society Publishers), a book about energy efficiency and the environment. I've given talks on energy efficient building and I am available to do so again.
I am a co-author of "The New Crowd" (Little, Brown), a best-seller about Wall Street power. I have won the NYSSCPA "Excellence in Financial Journalism" award. I was a senior writer for Institutional Investor, the features editor for American Banker and a reporter-researcher at Time. I have appeared on CNBC's Squawk Box.
As a freelance writer, I wrote dozens of business stories for The New York Times, as well as a few other freelance business (and entertainment) feature stories for Esquire, Rolling Stone, Kiplinger's, Dissent, Film Comment and New York magazines. I also wrote investment articles for The Street website.
I've been around the world. I crossed the Sahara, worked on cargo ships, climbed Kilimanjaro, scuba-dived in Bermuda, water skied in Kashmir, floated in the Dead Sea, swam in Lake Atitlan, rode a scooter along the Riviera, walked through Checkpoint Charlie, camped out in the Congo, toured the Serengeti and skied the Alps. I ran the Boston Marathon in 2:53:45 and have won the U.S. Masters Swimming national championship in the 1,500 meters. My signature is in Apollo 11 on the moon and I was at Woodstock. I have a wife and a son.
