The main reason I wrote my book was to Thank God for keeping my name off of Th e Wall at the Vietnam War Memorial. I joined the Marines in 1969 and got to Vietnam about March 1st of 1970. I was assigned to the 7th Marines as a Grunt "Infantry" and was a rifleman. I was in a lot of close combat and had a lot of friends killed in action. God kept me alive and I will never forget
