Matthew Parfitt is Associate Professor in the Rhetoric Division at the College of General Studies, Boston University. He earned a Ph. D. in English Literature from Boston College in English Literature. Born in Epsom, England, he grew up in Montreal, Canada, and attended the University of Toronto. He now lives in Brookline, MA. In addition to writing and teaching, he enjoys practicing yoga and listening to classical music, especially opera.
