Cindy Killip

Cindy Killip is an award-winning author, educator, medical exercise specialist, and health coach who has been writing and teaching since 1989. She looks for fun around every corner and invites you to join her as she lives in the silver lining. Cindy focuses on healthy, pain-free living and finding happiness despite what life throws your way.

A master at making difficult concepts and complex subject matter easy to understand, she combines her compassion and humor with a wealth of knowledge to help people develop their personal stories. In a career spanning four decades, she’s had the opportunity to work with renowned experts and dig deep into research, exercise science, lifestyle management, and medical treatment options for chronic neurological and musculoskeletal diseases and injuries.

Known as 'The Balance Coach' by her students, Cindy has taught and written about everything from exercise, sports, bodywork, and meditation to chronic illness, nutrition, lifestyle management, parenting, and personal growth. She's published hundreds of articles in magazines, newspapers, and journals and wrote the books Living The BONES Lifestyle: A Practical Guide To Conquering The Fear Of Osteoporosis (2012) and Soaring Crane QiGong (a book for hire for the American QiGong Society). Cindy has an endless supply of tips and techniques to help you live a balanced lifestyle, manage pain and disability, heal, and navigate life’s challenges while embracing positive and playful experiences.

Throughout her teens and early 20s, she travelled around the country playing competitive sports, including Olympic Development Women's Soccer and NCAA Collegiate Soccer and Softball. Throughout her career, she's worked with hundreds of clients in the fitness and exercise science field, both on land and in the water. She worked one-on-one as a medical exercise specialist, personal trainer, and health coach. She also developed and taught all types of exercise classes, trained other fitness professionals, helped create and teach certification programs for fitness instructors, and coached a variety of sports for all ages. Cindy cherished her role as a mommy and actively volunteered in her children's schools and extracurricular activities, including sports, art, and performing arts. Now that their children are grown. Cindy has taken up painting and she and her hubby are busy filling their empty nest with vintage second-hand treasures, spending time with family and friends, and smothering their dog and cat with love.
