Sgt Clyde Hoch

Clyde Hoch was born in the same home he lives in today. The home was in his family since 1869. It was built in 1750 or before. Clyde was on his way to Marine Corps boot camp three days after graduating high school. After boot camp, it was infantry training and an assignment to tanks. He worked his way up to tank commander. His biggest setback in his life was being in a very large anti-tank explosion which left him with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. He never realized he had these issues which led him to a very difficult life.

Clyde started writing by accident. For his first book, he was selected as one of the fifty great writers you should be reading by the Author Show. His fourth book won a bronze medal at the Readers Favorite international awards contest. He has ten books in print. He writes a monthly veterans column for a local newspaper. His latest book is all about his life and overcoming obstacles, called I Am A Miracle. In writing this book he wishes to give hope to those who have a very difficult time of life.

Clyde started a veterans organization called the Veterans Brotherhood. The Veterans Brotherhood takes veterans off the streets as soon as they hear they are homeless. They help veterans pay fuel bills, electric bills, and a host of other ways to assist veterans.
