Elliott Holt

Elliott Holt was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and has lived in Moscow, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and New York. Her essays, book reviews, and short fiction have been published in the New York Times, Slate, Time, Virginia Quarterly Review, Guernica, Kenyon Review, The Millions, Bellevue Literary Review, The Pushcart Prize XXXV (2011 anthology) and elsewhere. In addition to winning a Pushcart Prize for her short fiction, Holt was the runner-up of the 2011 PEN Emerging Writers Award. Her first novel, 'You Are One of Them,' was a New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice and a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle's John Leonard award for a first book.
