L. M. Freeman

Ms. Freeman is a retired journalist who enjoyed a rewarding 20+ year career as a national broadcast news writer, producer, and on-air talent after earning a master's degree in journalism in 1989. Professional credentials include working as a producer at CBN News and MSNBC, and as a strategic corporate communications manager for IBM in New York and Texas. Ms. Freeman's family of six includes her husband of 25 years, and their four "children," who all live in the Austin area. The busy Freeman household includes three collies and two cats. When she's not busy keeping track of them all, Ms. Freeman enjoys reading and writing. She also shoots pool competitively and has qualified to compete in national tournaments in Las Vegas. Proceeds from her popular hyperlocal history book "Around Dripping Springs" go to five area non-profit groups dedicated to the preservation and promotion of local history.
