Tracey Farren

Tracey Farren is a novelist and screen writer living at the tip of Africa. She loves to write about desperate people fighting their way towards the light.

Her new novel, The Book of Malachi (written as TC Farren) is a spec fi thriller about a mute man who takes a job on a cruel medical project in the deep sea. Malachi must decide to risk his life for the victims, or let them perish. In 2020 the book was nominated for a NOMMA award and has recently been longlisted for the Sunday Times Fiction Prize. The BAFTA winning company, Little Island Productions in the UK have optioned it for a TV series.

Tracey's first novel, Whiplash was short listed for the Sunday Times fiction prize. Whiplash is a heartbreaking, funny story about a sex worker who gets pregnant - whipping her life 180 degrees. Tracey's screenplay was shortlisted for a SAFTA screenwriting award and the film, Tess won numerous film festival awards.

Tracey’s second novel, Snake was long listed for the Sunday Times Fiction Prize. Snake is a critically acclaimed literary thriller about a little farm girl who must save her family from a charming, deadly stranger.
